Bukhar-Zhyrau Local History Museum was opened on 9th of April as a district museum of literature and local lore on the base of culture and languages development section.

Total territory – 174,7 sq m including:

• • Fund – 9,02 sq m

• • Basic fund – 1731;
• • Scientific – auxiliary fund – 907

Thematic structure of all expositions and its brief characteristics

The museum has three expositional halls:
1 hall:

• • Famous personalities;
• • 7 – periods from Botakara district to Botakara;
• • Veterans of the World War II and veterans of Afghanistan war;
• • First workers in the virgin lands;
• • Honored people of the district;
• • A person is famed by his work (in the spheres of education, science, culture and sport);
• • Life and ethnography of Kazakh nation;

2 hall:

• • Culture, life, ethnography of Slovenian nation (migrants from Russia, Ukraine and etc);

3 hall:

• • A map of the Bukharzhyrau district;
• • Activity of the Phyto-Chemical institution, Kazakhmys complex, scientific – research institute KSRIA, a corner dedicated to agranom of agriculture A. Khristenko, owner of the medal “Nation Hero”; and growing and animal planet as well (Skins, horn etc).
