Lots of ritual and cultural evidence of the nations of Kazakhstan are kept in the museums of the Karaganda region.
The peculiar interest is represented by the expositions of the Karaganda, Balkhash, Temirtau museums of history and local lore, the regional museum of visual art, the Zhezkazgan museum of history and archeology with exhibit hall and by the single museum in the republic of mining history and melting work of Zhezdi district.
More than 350 visitors attend the region museums every year. Museum workers always take part in different scientific – practical conferences, seminars of the international and republic degree, and systematically raise the level of their skill.
The museums of the region always lead archeological and ethnographical expeditions, exhibitions and actions dedicated to historical and state activities and give methodical and consulting aids to pupils and social museums.
